South London outfit Escapists are a very new band in one sense, but have been playing together for a little while and have recently changed their name from Heart On Fire (good call lads). They’ve only got demos recorded so far but they show ambition and promise very good things – a big sound that could work in front of a large audience. I’m heading to check them out at The Flowerpot on Thursday as part of this gig. Should be a good one!

Check out 2 demos below and go to their myspace for more.

Currently listening to Long awaited release of Middle Class Rut’s debut ‘No Name No Colour’. Two dudes from Sacremento that really know how to rock out. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of album opener ‘Busy Bein’ Born’. iTunes. Spotify
